SYNESTHESIA

Synesthesia is a perceptual phenomenon, a "crossing of the senses," which one sense triggers another sense. For instance, listening to music may evoke an individual's perception of colors and shapes. Design of the poster series for the International Synesthesia Conference. In the series "Synesthesia," exploring the relationship between human perceptions are based on how we interpret various sensations, and individuals with synesthesia may “see” sound, “touch” smell, and “smell” color.

1 See Sound Individuals with sound-synesthesia often perceive music as a combination of colors and shapes that are visible to them when they listen to it.

2 Smell Color Certain individuals may experience visual sensations in response to certain fragrances. This phenomenon is commonly referred to as "Smell Color".

3 Taste Color A person experiencing synesthesia may observe that their senses blend, adding an extra dimension to their perception of the world. For instance, they may associate taste with colors, feel textures when eating, and describe shapes as either “round” or “pointy.”
